God or Divine Consciousness

Enlivening the Divine Consciousness in Us

The Cosmic Energy Field Theory states that there is a field of intelligent energy that connects everything in the entire universe including those realms beyond our physical universe.

At the highest peak of these realms, known to us through mathematical modeling and experimental verification as the 12th dimension, is the realm of the unmanifest, unrevealed, uncreated, unborn, undying, limitless, unbounded, as well as the spiritual and the divine.

This is the abode of the Eternal Source which our ancient ancestors and many of us today have been known to access, even if one is still grounded and engrossed in the material concerns of time, space, and matter.

This is the place that goes beyond the horizon of science and religion and from which everything originates. Each one of us, therefore, is divine by origin, even as we are cosmically a product of several types and combinations of subatomic dust that littered across every direction of the nascent Cosmos.

In this manner, we are really connected and related to each other, bonded by the unlimited force of the Eternal Source of Everything. We are not isolated or separate, but part of a bigger life and existence, of which we are the manifest, the revealed, the limited, as well as the physical and secular.

Yet, the divine attributes are also in us, even as we are bodily made of several diverse atomic particles that appeared at the instant of the Big Bang. Evolution has not erased these divine attributes in us. On the contrary, it has all the more enhanced and animated us, making us what and who we are today.

We can rightfully claim that we are God possessing all its nature, power, and attributes. We are the Eternal Source that continues the act of creation and transformation.

We are the creatures upon whom the Primal Source of Everything placed its trust to continue the act of cosmic evolution.

For millions and billions of years, it has, in fact, become one of our greatest challenges to know what it means to be continually conscious that we are simultaneously God and human, spiritual and physical, divine and secular, and to conduct our daily life accordingly.

From Self to Cosmic Consciousness

Beyond the realm of Self-Consciousness, there lies an even bigger experience of awareness that embraces the Cosmos as a whole and our intimate relationship with everything in it.

In cosmic consciousness, the Self is communing and uniting with those species that walk on Earth, swim underneath rivers, lakes, and oceans, and those that fly in the skies, as well as the moons, planets, suns, stars, and galaxies.

We journey through life with them. We become aware of our experiences when interacting with them. We experience and view the world with them.

I refer to this level of awareness as Cosmic Consciousness. There is, of course, an even higher form of awareness.

In the real world, modern physics shows us that our Consciousness connects us quite intimately with every living and non-living thing through the energy that we emit in our thoughts, emotions, and actions.

Every part of the Cosmos is intimately connected to us. We are not isolated parts and pieces, but one whole system, each of which is necessary for the functioning of the entire system, we call Cosmos.

Many times, we forget or are not mindful, that there are other inhabitants of this Cosmos that also possess the inherent right to exist and live on this Planet Earth.

Cosmic consciousness can be viewed from the perspective of environmental science.

First, we have the Ecosystem. This includes the forests, oceans, coral reefs, ponds, lakes, valleys, caves, savannahs, mountains, hills, and land, as well as the invisible spirits like the dwarves, leprechauns, fairies, and deceased ancestors. This can be likened to factories, each producing different kinds of products and services.

Second, we have the Species. This includes viruses, bacteria, worms, plants, animals, and humans. These are the factory workers working on the front line directly manufacturing various goods and services.

Third, we have the Genetics. This refers to the genes and DNAs of every species like the expertise, knowledge, wisdom, beliefs, and values that serve as nature’s built-in mechanism to fertilize the soil, purify the air, regulate climate changes, manage food production, and regulate population levels.

The unity and totality of all the ecosystems, species, and genetics on Earth is the Biosphere. I refer to this unitive sphere as the Cosmic Enterprise where each species works collectively as one to protect, maintain, and sustain all life forms in the universe.

And from Cosmic Consciousness back to Self-Consciousness

We’re practically living in a vast expanse of a mysterious, albeit unparalleled beauty of our Cosmos where adventure is never far away. Its majesty invites both awe and fear, the reason why it can be as intimidating as it is inviting.

Because of its vastness, many times, we feel that our Cosmos is inaccessible and impenetrable. Yet, curiosity and the excitement of finding something more elemental to our life and existence always inspire humanity to explore its deepest horizon even if our relentless efforts to intrude into its inner sanctum may remain uncertain.

But we explore it just the same realizing that we would not have been what and who we are today had it not been because of our fearless courage to keep on searching into its still unknown enigma.

In the end, we realize that what we’re really searching for is in us. It has been within us all along and has never left us. Neither will it leave us.

For it is the essence of our core being, innate in us and oftentimes referred to by many as Self, spirit, Consciousness, soul, energy, or God. Whatever its name is, it is that which represents the most fundamental of our identity.

While the outside world may inspire and nourish us, ultimately, we have to rely more on the reservoir of our unlimited wealth and resources that may still lie untapped to many of us today.

Yes, from the realm of cosmic consciousness, we have to go back to the realm of Self-consciousness, but not to sever our cosmic connection because the Cosmos forms the backdrop and context within which we restructure our inner Self.

For those who are not used to going inward, the journey within can be horribly horrifying and nightmarish as well as daunting and formidable.

Nevertheless, entering our very own dark rabbit hole might all the more offer us a deeper sense of wisdom, meaning, and fulfillment in understanding who and what we are, why we are here, and what our future really is.

Human Consciousness and God Consciousness

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. - November 22, 2020

"Yes, when we talk of ourselves as Consciousness, we also talk of ourselves as God. The path and destiny are one and the same."

I use capital "C" to distinguish it from the prevailing view that consciousness (with lower case "c") is a product of the physical processes of evolution. Consciousness, with capital C, is not; it has divine origin.

Our Consciousness has a Divine content and attribute, coming as it is from God. God is in us through our Consciousness. The Kingdom of God is in us. The Holy Trinity is in us. Catholic defenders call this the presence of Jesus in us.

We take part in the Lord's Godhead. We are God, not just a body that is made of clay and dust. But our being God also permeates our entire body, though it's not located in any particular part of our body.

We are God in a limited way. Our Consciousness is one necessary part in the Big Ocean of God's Consciousness. The wave is not only part of the Big Ocean. Though it is just a tiny portion, it has all the ingredients of the Big Ocean. It also partakes all the attributes of the Big Ocean.

You taste the wave and you have tasted the Big Ocean. All the ingredients and attributes of the wave are present in the Big Ocean and vice versa. All the ingredients and attributes of the Big Ocean exist in the wave.

So is our Consciousness in relation to God's Consciousness. In fact, all organisms are interconnected parts of a Bigger Organism, which is also part of a Superorganism.

God is within us and the path we are walking is God's path. Everything that God touches along the way partakes of its Godhead. God envelopes our total being, even as we embrace God. In the state of Consciousness, there is no more distinction between a human being and God.

Both possess divine attributes in varying degrees. There are hierarchies of beings out there, living in different levels of dimension. There are also hierarchies of power out there, yet these are mere internal arrangements that make one Consciousness unique and distinct from the other.

All this defines the nature, form, and structure of the entire cosmic system. The hierarchies are expressed in the various evolutionary levels we occupy in the Cosmos.

At the same time, the destiny is God. God is in all of creation, even as it is within us. Everything is God. In quantum physics, there is no more distinction between the observer and the observed. Through Consciousness, the two have become one, actively interacting with each other. The observer, the process of observation, the observed, the surroundings, including the path, on which everything float, are in fact one and the same.

In addition, Consciousness is a continuing movement that starts from us, ascending to the Cosmos and to God. I categorize this as a cyclical and spiral ascent from self-consciousness and cosmic-consciousness, all leading to the divine-consciousness, and back.

In reality, however, there's no need to travel and to go around in concentric circles. There is nowhere to go; neither have we arrived from somewhere. We did not come from anywhere. We are not going anywhere. In quantum physics, everything is entangled with one another.

The path we are treading on and the destiny we are going to are the same. We walk with God who is within us and in the path on which we step on and where we will be going to is God who is here and now with us.

Let's just focus our Consciousness on God. Don't go anywhere because you will arrive to where you're destined to arrive. Don't worry and cower in fear. We are riding on a dynamic cosmic escalator that will lead us to somewhere.

Going back from divine-consciousness, to cosmic-consciousness and self-consciousness is where the issue of faith and good works come in. Every step we make in the ascending cosmic ladder is a leap of faith since nobody knows where the next step will be and when to take it.

In addition, the individual is uncertain what the fruits of the next step or leap will be. The fruits can be good or bad depending on the content, quality, and choice of the step taken. It comes out in the form of good works or bad works.

"Yes, when we talk of ourselves as Consciousness, we also talk of ourselves as God. The path and destiny are one and the same."

We Are Consciousness, We Are God
