Humanity Is Still Waiting for the Second Coming. Will It Come? Just Asking!

Here’s an answer published in Step vs Creyente..

“- Hindus are waiting for Kalki since 3,700 years.

- Buddhists have been waiting for Maitreya for 2,600 years. -

- The Jews have been waiting for the Messiah for 2500 years.

- Christians have been waiting on Jesus for 2000 years.

- Sunnah has been waiting for the Prophet lssa 1400 years.

- Muslims have been waiting for a messiah from the line of Muhammad for 1300 years.

- Shiites have been waiting for Mandi for 1080 years.

- Drusse have been waiting for Hamza ibn Ali for 1000 years.

“Most religions adopt the idea of a “savior,” and assert that the world will remain filled with evil until this Savior arrives and fills it with goodness and righteousness.

“Maybe our problem on this planet is that people expect someone else to come fix their problems instead of doing it themselves!”

They could be the same person called by different names since everything is energy differing only in form and vibration.

In the meantime that nobody from among them has come yet, I better take care of myself, then.

Proving the existence of God

Paul Dejillas, Ph.D.

June 28, 2023

Proving the existence of God using God as the basis of the answer has been found to be flawed and inconsistent. God is not adequate enough to explain everything.

This is true in the case of science. Proving the singularity that triggered the Big Bang using the singularity as the basis is also incorrect and irrational. Science is not adequate enough to explain everything.

Maybe if they join together, something new may come up. But can one prove the existence of bread by using bread as the basis of the answer?

The same thing when answering questions about religion using religion as an argument.

Or using a biblical text to answer a non-biblical argument.

In philosophy, they call this argument tautological and ontological.

All this only leads to what? Argumentation and debate, which we are taught and trained to be experts in school. It is in this manner that one wins and becomes successful in life.

The more one is skilled in philosophizing and theologizing the better and smarter one becomes. "No retreat, no surrender." "The quitter never wins." "Survival of the fittest." "Do or die."

Let's get out of the box instead and go beyond the domain of religion and science. But very few courageously take this path for fear that it might be sacrilegious to their beliefs. As a result, one becomes imprisoned and enslaved to its beliefs.

Cheers!

Pantheism and Panentheism

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D.

May 2, 2022

The Google Dictionary defines

(1) Pantheism is a doctrine that identifies God with the universe or regards the universe as a manifestation of God.

Its doctrine declares that the universe conceived of as a whole is God and, conversely, there is no God but the combined substance, forces, and laws that are manifested in the existing universe.

(2) Panentheism is the belief or doctrine that God is greater than the universe and Nature. It includes and interpenetrates the entire Cosmos.

—————

My take:

God manifests itself through Nature. Nature has become a replica of the image and power of God. It partakes all the attributes of God. Nature is God. This is pantheism.

I go beyond. Nature’s Godhead stems from the world beyond, in the 5th dimension. Giving rituals, songs, dances, agape, and other liturgical services to Nature is a way of adoring God.

It’s similar and parallel to celebrating the Holy Mass, which consists of the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

I can worship God through the Holy Mass. I can also do the same act of worship through Nature, a more pragmatic and convenient way to do it, in fact, especially for those who have not been reached by the religious services of clergies.

Salvation can be achieved not only through the Holy Masses. The Holy Eucharist is enacted daily merely for the purpose of commemorating the passion, crucifixion, death, resurrection, and ascension of our Master and Lord Jesus, the Christ.

Salvation is inclusive and encompassing. Its path covers all the breadth and depth of the entirety of all creation. Even my favorite pets as well as the stones, insects, earthworms, honeybees, butterflies, plants, and trees in my little garden can lead me to salvation and to God.

This does not mean, of course, that I’m already saved. I still have to work for it every moment of my life, not in the pantheist, but in the panentheistic way.

Do you want to join me? I’m inviting everybody.

The Second Coming: Time to Relax

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D.

March 24, 2022

The Egyptians await the second coming of their Lord Horus.

The Greeks await the second coming of their Lord Zeus.

The Hindus await the second coming of their Lord Shiva.

The Jews await the second coming of a Messiah that comes from the line of David.

Christians await the second coming of Jesus.

Islams await for the second coming of Mohammad.

The Chinese await the second coming of their God tian, (for “heaven” or “sky”).

The Russians await the second coming of their Lord Veles or Volos

So do other nationalities across the globe like the Japanese, South Koreans, and the Pacific Islanders, among many others.

Could it be that the God whose second coming we are all waiting for is the same person, but known only by their different names?

If so, does this mean that we have been worshipping and honoring the same God all the while? Does this mean too that all religions are the same?

If this God we are all waiting for is the same Lord, then, when it finally comes, we can really be assured of global peace and harmony. Those who have sinned will have their blessings and forgiveness. We will all be saved.

But wait a minute. Nobody can tell when our Lord is coming and Satan is always with us, establishing its kingdom too, here on earth, too eager to snatch us anytime.

Something must be done.

But perhaps, there is no more second coming. For the Lord, we had been waiting for is already within us. Its Kingdom has already come and we are challenged to prove that the Lord is really reigning here on earth through us.

Others would perhaps add (in levity perhaps and let’s allow them):

“No! The Lord is not within us. It’s outside running for political office, busily campaigning to seize power first before its will can be done here on earth as it is in heaven. They must be elected first before we can all be saved or condemned to hell.”

OMG. I think I need some more enlightenment.

There's Something Beyond Religion That Only Man Can Explore

December 27, 2021

Although religion is focused on the metaphysical, it places all its faith and confidence on the existence of God, whose nature and attributes have been stained by their founders through the ages. Our view of God has become anthropocentric or man-made, diluted by our imperfections and weaknesses.

Over the years, my journey as a seeker has shifted from being an intense believer in a Divine Creator to a fervent disciple of science. But WHAT IF both science and religion have it all wrong? WHAT IF there is a bigger, deeper, and more noble meaning to life and existence than the ones they propounded?

If only to continue my search for meaning and purpose in life, I went beyond the threshold of both science and religion. I continued exploring the world beyond, the unknown, and the uncertain.

In the process, my personal adventure has opened a path I have not trodden before. I have discovered a new story of the Cosmos that transcends the creation story propounded by both science and religion.

As a programmer of my life, I have come to realize that while Catholicism and Christianity teach good tidings, so do other religions like Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Sufism, Mohammedanism, Sheikhism, etc.

Even then, I could not discount the fact that there is still something beyond, even if all these religious beliefs are put together as one. According to modern science, we only know about 5% of the Cosmos, a mere tip of the iceberg. On our own initiative, we can always continue our exploration of the remaining 95%, which still remain in the dark.

What lurks in this darkness, I still don't know. But every step to the unknown, I experience something joyful, peaceful, and oneness every now and then. Every moment I move forward stirs that inner force and fans the ember within, which I suspect is the place where the treasures I've been looking for, all along, is hidden.

In the meantime, let me enjoy the white, chilly, wintery Christmas here.

God is dead?

November 19, 2022

Nietzsche (1844-1900) was an atheist known for his vocal attacks against God, religion, and Christianity.

Yet, he was an exceptional guy already during his time. He had been composing piano, choral and orchestral music since he was a teen. In 1899, at the age of 24, he assumed a position in classical philology at the University of Basel.

He must have been an animal lover. In Part II of Human, All Too Human, “The Wanderer and His Shadow”, Nietzsche expressed our thoughtless cruelty on animals:

“The origin of our morality may still be observed in our relations with animals. We kill or wound insects or let them live, and as a rule, think no more about it …If animals do us harm, we strive to annihilate them in every possible way. The means are often cruel enough, even without our really intending them to be so — it is the cruelty of thoughtlessness.”

According to legend, upon witnessing the whipping of a horse, Nietzsche threw his arms around the horse’s neck and collapsed into insanity.

But even in his younger days he already showed signs of mental instability, often experiencing bouts of depression that in later years led to the complete loss and control of his cognitive abilities in the mental sanatorium.

Was his attack against God a result of mental instability or a consequence of God’s wrath on him? What messages does the life of Nietzsche bring us? What lessons can be learned?

The Omnipresent and Omnipotent Holy Trinity

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D.

April 25, 2022

The Holy Trinity is one God but given many names by

(1) Catholics as the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit (Light);

(2) Hindus refer to it as Krishna, Shiva, and Vishnu;

(3) Sumerians as Anu, Enlil, and Enki;

(4) Quantum physicists as electrons, neutrons, and protons; and

(5) Astrophysicists, cosmologists, and astronomers as the planets, moons, and Sun (or Star) that compose the Solar System in our vast universe.

The Holy Trinity is not three persons but one and of the same essence and being. Science would say they are one electromagnetic energy.

They’re all one transcendent and immanent being that is in us and in all of creation. Everything that exists is transcendent and immanent.

Their being is transcendent and immanent. It is the essence of our physical and spiritual being.

We are not too different from the Holy Trinity. Its attributes as Creator, Savior, and the Light are in us. We are the Holy Trinity. We are God (religion) as well as the Energy and the Solar System (science).

We are Trinitarian beings who are also omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and immortal, coming as we all are from the same source.

All creatures out there (humans and sub-humans, visible and invisible, animate and inanimate) is a doppelgänger of the Holy Trinity, possessing the innate power, attributes, and faculties of the Holy Trinity.

If this is who and what we are, we owe it to our creator to conduct ourselves as a reflection and replica of the Holy Trinity.

This is the mystery as well as the art and science of the Holy Trinity. It is in the world outside us as well as in the inside of us.

The Futility of Asking Question About Who God Is

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. - July 8, 2022

Oh, yes! It’s really futile to ask questions. Asking questions beget more questions. We often hear the dictum: “God is the answer.” But what is the question?

The question could be: “What, who, why, when, where, and how is God?; and Which God?”

But to this day, there are no answers that satisfy the entire humanity. Philosophers, theologians, canon lawyers, exegetes, and scientists cannot agree among themselves and religion even goes to the extent of fighting against each other just to defend their God, Gods, or Goddesses.

The same is true to all other kinds of questions.

There are only two ways to end this unending probe into everything in life, namely:

(1) Stop asking questions, but keep on exploring beyond our visible world and into the unknown and uncertain; or

(2) Be satisfied with the answers regardless of who answered your questions.

I prefer number 1: “Stop asking questions, but keep on exploring beyond our visible world and into the unknown and uncertain.

Number 2 question can be suffocating and dangerous, especially if the answer is off the mark or incomplete. World renowned Psychologist and Therapist Carl Jung foresaw this danger. In his words:

"I have frequently seen people become neurotic when they content themselves with inadequate or wrong answers to the questions of life. They seek position, marriage, reputation, outward success of money, and remain unhappy and neurotic even when they have attained what they were seeking. Such people are usually confined within too narrow a spiritual horizon. Their life has not sufficient content, sufficient meaning."

How do we get out of this vicious cycle of Q/A?

Paradoxically, we are also reminded by science and religion that there is an entity in us which is simply observing the appearance and disappearance of questions and answers, but is neither the one raising nor answering the question.

Within this entity, there are neither questions to be answered nor answers to be questioned. Its essence is pure being. It is per se fullness and perfection, simply in continuing awareness and blissful communion with itself, neither wanting nor attaching to anything except itself.

This entity is called by many names: Self, spirit, soul, energy. It is who and what we are today, yesterday, and tomorrow. It’s distinct from our body, brain, and mind which are impermanent and restricted by the elements of time, space, and matter.

At our deepest being, there are no questions to be asked or answers to raise. There is only communion with ourselves. At this realm, a much broader outlook of our existence is presented before us. In the process, it enables us to gradually realize that there are more noble concerns in life than just being stifled by the never-ending wandering of the inquisitive mind.

The Ascension and Descent of the Holy Spirit!

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – May 11, 2022

After Jesus ascended into heaven, the apostles and disciples were waiting for the descent of the Holy Spirit in their room for some days.

After the Pentecost, it is said that the apostles and disciples became fearless, were speaking in tongues, healing the sick, resurrecting the dead, making the lame walk, and many others.

But I am interested of knowing four things:

(1) FIRST. When they were waiting in their clausura, what must have they been doing to prepare themselves for the coming of the Holy Spirit?

- I'm just curious.

- Were they just relaxing doing nothing? Were they discussing with each other? If so, about what? Or were they perhaps praying all the time?

- Or did they spent their time in silence and solitude? What must have they been thinking?

(2) SECOND. What happened when the Holy Spirit finally descended upon them? How did this happen? Was it a dove or lightning that appeared before them? What did it say to them? How long did it happen? 5 seconds, minutes, hours?

- What were their experiences when the Holy Spirit was with them? What changes did they notice with respect to their body, mind, and spirit?

- Were they convulsing or contorting their bodies? Spitting out fumes? Talking invectives?, as played in the movie "The Exorcist?"

- What was the personal experience of John, Thomas, Peter, and the rest? How about the ladies who were also there, maybe in another room or location?

- There are no accounts whatsoever in the Bible about what happened to each of the apostles when the Holy Spirit descended upon them.

(3) THIRD. What happened immediately after they received the wisdom and fire of the Holy Spirit?

- Did they immediately get out of their clausura and bring the good news to the people?

- Or were they planning what to do after they receive the fire of the Holy Spirit? Did they discuss where to spread the good news?

(4) FOURTH. Note that the Holy Bible was only assembled in the year 325 A.D., or thereabout, during the Council of Nicea. And the council members were relying only on the individual letters written by Peter, Thomas, Mark, Matthew, John, Mary Magdalene, Judas Iscariot, many of which have not been included in the New Testament.

Yet, we are told that today's bible collection was inspired by the Holy Spirit? Did the Holy Spirit also descend upon the members of the Council and stayed with them until everything was completed?

Or did the Holy Spirit dictate, or even write, the contents of the present bible word for word, just as Yahweh did to the Ten Commandments?

Yet, why are there so many versions of the Bible existing today? King James, Geneva, Septuagint, English Standard, New International Version, etc., and even translated in many languages.

———————

I am just curious, and my curiosity led me to imagine and fill up the gaps and missing links.

Did Our Ancient Gods Really Create Man?

March 19, 2022

It was "Zeus who created man and man's prayers fed the gods' immortality. But in time mankind grew restless. They began to question the gods and, finally, rise up against them. "Yes, humanity rebelled against God and made themselves gods and goddesses. Today, they are firmly entrenched in power and influence, but slowly losing their control and grip over the citizenry. Like Gilgamesh, they failed to inherit the immortality of their gods.

But Can We Trust the God of Man and Religion?

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. - December 6, 2020

Let's be practical. Our relationship with God is a very personal one. Each one of us have our own image and attribute of our God.

On a global scale, this is the reason why the Chinese, Russians, Africans, Japanese, Indians, Jews, Muslims, as well as the Israelites, Egyptians, Sumerians, the Middle East, the Pacific Islanders, and the Indigenous Peoples have their own God, Gods and Goddesses.

They may not be necessarily the biblical messengers of God like Jesus, Krishna, Mohammed, but fairies, dwarves, white ladies, goblins, mermaids, and spirits in the caves, rivers, lakes, oceans, and the skies.

Even animals are honored and worshipped as Gods and Goddesses. We have golden calves, holy cows, monkeys, doves, snakes, dragons.

From the cosmic perspective, we can shape our own image of God that works for us if we want to. We may create that kind of God that suits our personality.

Whatever that maybe, we need a personal God to live in this highly troubled world, until the time comes when we realize that we really don't need God at all because the Lord God gave us all the power and faculties needed to withstand the challenges we personally encounter in our own little world (not to solve all the problems of the entire world).

God is all around us. The Lord God of Creation is within us. God acts through our senses, hands, feet, mind, and psyché. God interacts with people, society, nations, states through us.

We have what it takes to be God. Wherever our body, mind and spirit go, God is there, as it is within us.

As Psalm 139:7-13 says:

"Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

"If I say, 'Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,' even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb."

The higher we are in the cosmic evolutionary process, the nearer we are to the Lord and the farther we are from the wiles of Satan. Conversely, the lower we are in the cosmic ladder, the more the need of God becomes. For the nearer we are to the devil's pit.

The devil can disguise itself as God, even quoting passages in the holy scriptures freely. Like the lion, the devil can hide itself in a sheep's clothing. Between God and the devil, there are so many God-devil combinations.

This inverse relationship is a mirror of the cosmic law. In the physical realm, the closer we are to the ground, the more we are at the mercy of the law of gravity and the three other forces of nature. The higher we are from ground zero, the less affected we are to the pull of gravity. We can literally walk in space

Now that we are on our own, can God trust us? Only you can answer this question. Though this is very subjective, let's attempt to measure our response.

In an honesty scale of 0 to 100, 100 being the highest, rate your answer. The passing grade is 75.

Something is wrong if you cannot give an exact rate to this query. It can only mean you don't know yourself much or you don't want to offend God. Keep your answers to yourself unless you want to share your overflowing light to others.
