Rethinking the Cosmic in Global Pandemic

December 6, 2021

Occupying the headlines during the past two years are extreme climate changes, population explosion, violations of the international law of the sea, the fatal effects of 5G technology, and the COVID-19 virus that is now emerging as the rebirth of the bubonic plague.

All these have not only dislocated us physically, mentally, and psychically, but also spiritually. These global concerns have created an alarming impact, especially the poor and elderly sectors of our society.

Until now, the solutions have remained so elusive. People continue to live in fear and many are lost. Conditions continue to worsen as the days go by. We have not yet flattened the curve and no governments, no scientists, no religion have yet been able to come up with a sure cure so far, except for some promises that their search for it might be nearing soon. We are still being experimented upon.

What a frightening predicament we are in today. It’s a race between science and religion. Whoever does it first will certainly be regarded as a hero and savior by the people. In the meantime, we can only wish the best for each other, which I know is unwarranted optimism.

The number of Covid-19 cases daily pales in comparison to the helplessness and inability of our political leaders to ensure the safety and welfare of their people.

While the resolution of a full-blown war on an invisible enemy is nowhere in sight, we are all left alone to fend for ourselves, while resigning to the fact that, alone, we cannot really change the conditions around us.

Worsening Global Pandemic

October 20, 2021

We are living at a time when we are surrounded by a Corona of death and its cumulative effect is now taking its heavy toll on us. We have not yet flattened the curve and no governments, no scientists, no religion have yet been able to come up with a sure cure so far, except for some empty promises and false hopes.

And the conditions are worsening as days go by. We are still being experimented. The number of people infected by the Coronavirus daily continues to increase by the millions, aggravated by the helplessness and inability of our political leaders to respond effectively to the safety and welfare of the people.

What a frightening predicament we are in today. Expecting the worst that may happen to us anytime, anywhere is not extreme pessimism. The statistics are terrifyingly staggering.

The end of a full-on war on an invisible enemy, including the other global pandemic that are mercilessly killing us softly, is still nowhere in sight, and we are all left on our own devices to fend for ourselves, while at the same time, resigning to the fact that, alone, we cannot really change the conditions around us.

Here's wishing you for the best.

Wounds Leave Scars

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – August 27, 2021

Oftentimes I wonder if it's better to have wounds that never heal rather than wounds that heal but leave scars permanently and be tormented for life by the causes that inflicted them.

Cancer cells are vicious, made more vicious by mainstream healers

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – August 11, 2021

They are known to be immortal, as in, they don't die unless we, their hosts, die.

Asleep, they are most lovely but awake, they are the most deadly parasites living in our body. At the global level, they are more widespread and fatal than the Ebola virus, HIV-AIDS, and even Coronavirus.

Once cancer cells spread to other cells, tissues, and organs of the body, there's no stopping. They would soon take over until the organs fail to perform their functions and the host dies.

No amount of chemotherapy can stop advanced cancer cells. In case of mild ones, they usually recur and recur. Yet, chemotherapy is propagated as the only means to arrest cancer. We are made to believe that it's the only cure.

Now that we're aware, it's time to take precautionary measures or, once one has them, change your doctor if it insists on chemotherapy.

Why are oncologists always prescribing chemotherapy to their patients?

Doctors' fees contain a whole bunch of fringe benefits like attending conferences abroad with all expenses paid plus a fat daily allowance, not counting the cut and commission they receive from the high cost of chemotherapy.

And doctors are not the only ones that benefit. They include the medical institutions, the pharmacists, drug companies, distributors, medical reps, sales agents.

In the meantime, the public is continually deluded into thinking that chemotheraphy is the only effective method to combat cancer.

Actually, there are already other known methods to combat cancer cells. For example:

1. Hyperthermia:

According to the National Cancer Institute, “Hyperthermia (also called thermal therapy or thermotherapy) is a type of cancer treatment in which body tissue is exposed to high temperatures. ... Far infrared therapy reduced tumor volumes by 86% in just 30 days."

2. Cannabis: Today, a dash of cannabis is also reported to cure cancer. But possession of this hot substance is illegal and punishable by death in many countries. In a few states and countries, they are available over-the-counter. Farming them for medicinal purposes is even allowed.

3. Those cured by healing priests, nuns, pastors, and those mystics who were made the instruments of healing diseases. These instantaneous healing are dubbed as miraculous that even medical doctors can't explain.

4. Those healed by cosmic energy healers, acupuncturists, pranic healers, and psychic surgeons.

5. Those practicing yoga, meditation, aikido, chi, and other exercises that seek to balance our mind, body, and spirit are usually cancer-free.

6. Those who are vegetarians, fruitarians, breatharians, non-eatarians, and non-meatarians are likewise known to be immune to cancer.

Have a regular check-up. If detected earlier, try alternative medicines first. Continue monitoring the growth of your cancer cells.

Don't dive into chemotherapy immediately. It cannot insure total cure. You're only deluded into thinking by some unconscionable healers that it's the only cure, a delusion rammed down into our throats by the media, schools, and pharmaceuticals.

If you're still uncomfortable, then, you can try both the scientific and religious approaches.

I underwent CT scan because of a big bulge that has been growing in my neck, which I thought was just a thyroid issue. I was advised by my doctor to have it immediately operated because of the suspicion that it could be a malignant tumor.

On the last minute of the scheduled surgery, I refused. It took me several months before I accidentally met a Cosmic Energy Healer. With just one session, the size disappeared completely after one week.

Our body is sacred. Let's not just freely allow any object to invade and mess it. There's almost an infinite number of alternative cures. Refer to Edgar Cayce's readings.

We have the responsibility to take care of our body responsibly. It's the Kingdom of God who always responds to our prayers, if done fervently and relentlessly.

Even atheists believe that our body has a built-in mechanism to heal itself. Medical surgeons call this the placebo effect.

The Art and Science of Self-Healing

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – July 22, 2021

There are pains and sufferings in our life that only us can heal. In what I had narrated above, I became the patient, the healer, and the medicine. I became the problem, the doctor, and the solution. Nobody could have done it for me, although I believe that the Lord God could have done it for me. But I felt it was more my responsibility to resolve them because they were my own doing.

Sheltering the Elderly

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – July 22, 2021

Whole day rains, flood, and traffic. We brave them all to celebrate the birthdays of my friends in Kanlungan ni Maria (Mary’s Place of Refuge). Run by two sisters of the Diocese of Antipolo, this Home for the Aged is indeed home for the elderly whose family and relatives could not be traced.

The eldest is 93 years old. Not even their dates of birth and names are known. So the DWSD has to assign them their names. We have a term in the vernacular "palaboy laboy"

(vagrants, drifters, street dwellers) because they were literally seen in the streets with no permanent homes and friends.

The shelter houses 21 elderlies and 11 staff. But you'll be amazed and anused by their talents to entertain their visitors: singers, comedians, emcees, dancers, poets, artists, you name it that they had been featured by ABS-CBN several times in the past.

The photos speak a lot about our two-hour event held lunchtime.

To Vaccinate or Not!

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – June 2, 2021

"Damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't." I received my notice Saturday, May 28, 2021, but class is more important. I came Monday, saw people herded for immunity, my family eagerly awaiting. Let it be. I decided. Freedom is taking a choice, even if you don't want to make a choice. In real life, sometimes we have to bend a little, like a bamboo grass, for our roots to become stronger and sturdier.

Safety and Health Affect Others

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – May 23, 2021

Don't risk yourself being contaminated by the deadly coronavirus or risk others being infected by you as a carrier of this infectious disease. The virus is very real, afflicting everybody regardless of age, gender, race, color, education, profession, religion, place, and distance.

The latest World Health Statistics report finds that COVID-19 is responsible for at least three million deaths in 2020. And hundreds and thousands of deaths every day are now attributable to coronavirus.

What happens to each one of us affects others and vice versa, what others feel and experience affect us. We are all connected. "No man is an island, entire of its own", as John Dunne would quip. Dunne is very much alive today, even livelier than during the pre-pandemic times.

But this should not stop us from digging into the root of everything. If we are really at the service of humanity, we should not have infected animals with human-made viruses and release them into the wild where these infected animals come into contact with people and other animals.

Man's freaking mind is really killing us softly. We inject the virus on the bat, which might be held captive in a zoo or in science laboratories, so that the poor, innocent bat can be blamed for the disease, not us. This is the reason why many call the zoo a prison cell of all innocents, and this is where science does its experiments before the results are finally applied to humans. And now the animals are fighting back

We can still redeem ourselves. If science does not want to do so, we can always go to religion, allowing it to do everything for us as the healer of last recourse. Many healing miracles have already been done in the name of religion. This, we cannot just ignore.

If religion is still insufficient, we can always tap the powerful synergistic effect of both science and religion, of both medicines and prayers, of both medical protocols and our relentless efforts to live a prayerful and healthy lifestyle. Science and religion can always cooperate if only for the sake of totally eradicating today's pandemic attacks.

If this is still found insignificant, then, let everything and every event take their own course freely and gracefully suffer all the indignities we are experiencing and will continue to experience during these trying times. No things, no events happen to us by chance or luck.

This could be the Lord's way of asking each one of us to bring back that state of innocence, compassion, and love, which we have lost in the Garden of Eden.

We are now in the Age of Reparation, which is a time primarily devoted to repentance, and a time for paying back all the misdemeanors and sins we have committed against ourselves, our neighbors, and against Mother Nature.

It is only then can we be worthy of receiving and enjoying the gifts and blessings of Ascension, which is the descent of the Holy Spirit.

Happy Ascension Day!

To Vaccinate or Not: That is the Question

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – April 22, 2021

A billion dollar question. In either case, it's a "damn-if-you-do" and "damn-if-you-don't" scenario. "Damn-if-you-do" because you fall victim into the nefarious interests of pharmacists. To them, it means billions of dollars of profit per year. "Damn-if-you-don't" because of the worry that you might infect your family members who are with you. But I still have my way out.

Seeking for Divine Intervention

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – April 15, 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic is on the brink of wiping us out. Let's seek help from those beyond our physical realm. It's free and delivered to those deserving any time. But what has the beyond to offer us? How about funneling their cosmic healing energies to us and channel these to those in need? Be an instrument of alternative healing. No harm in trying and perfecting this skill.

In Search of a New Paradigm

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – April 13, 2021

We need a new paradigm that would bring together biomedical sciences and ancient wisdom to give full health benefit to humanity against COVID-19. This means merging Western technologies and medicines with Eastern practices like meditation, yoga, Tai Chi, Falun Gong, Ayurveda, steam inhalation, recitation of the beads, mantras, cosmic energy healing, herbal medicines, and vegetarianism.

Health Issues

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – April 10, 2021

An expensive smorgasbord of global pandemics: health-care pandemic; protocol pandemic; vaccine pandemic; medicine pandemic; vitamins pandemic; food pandemic; work pandemic; corruption pandemic; discipline pandemic; fear pandemic; death pandemic; and the daily favorite of us all, leadership pandemic. Blessed are the rich and woe to the poor!

The Population is Getting Older and Older

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – December 26, 2020

Another year has passed. One more year added to our age. We are getting old. Our body and mind are showing signs of depreciation, worn out by the ravages of time. What the remaining years may bring us is totally uncertain. Actuarial science is giving us some leeway. If we assume a typical retirement age of 65, we still have two or more decades to live. What shall we fill these remaining years with?

Holy Rosary in the Catholic, Islamic, and other Faith Traditions

Paul J. Dejillas, Ph.D. – March 20, 2017

According to the University of Missouri Museum of Anthropology, the word “rosary” comes from the Latin term meaning "rose garden." The name rose is used as a symbol of perfection and is associated with the Virgin Mary.

The word “bead” comes from a Middle English word for "prayer" designed to help worshippers count prayers or other ritual recitations.

Islam and Catholicism are among the faiths that employ prayer beads. But they are also used by members of various religious traditions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Orthodoxy, Sikhism, and the Bahá'í Faith to mark the repetitions of prayers, chants or devotions, such as the rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Catholicism, and dhikr (remembrance of God) in Islam.

.

The Catholic rosary has 59 beads, six of them larger than the others. They are grouped into "decades," five sections of 10 small beads and a larger one; the remaining three beads, two small and one large, form a pendant from which hangs a cross or crucifix.

"Islamic prayer beads help Muslims count and recite the 99 attributes of God. The number 99 is significant, because the beads help Muslims to count and recite the 99 attributes of God. On reaching the final, elongated bead, the worshiper says the name of God, Allah."
